Italian Guanciale Imported is a dry-cured pork jowl, slow-cured for approximately 3 months with salt and traditional spices. The word Guanciale comes from the Italian word "guancia" which means cheek. This imported guanciale is made from pigs raised following time-honored processes in Italian farms. The rich flavor of this Italian Guanciale makes it a must-have specialty meat for every foodie. Besides being the star ingredient of the famous Carbonara and Amatriciana pasta, this guanciale can be used to enrich many other pasta dishes as well as salads, roasted vegetables and charcuterie boards.
