Chitarra Campofilone - Egg Pasta
Chitarra Campofilone – Traditional Egg Pasta from Italy (8.8oz / 250g)
Crafted in the historic hilltown of Campofilone, this artisan egg pasta is made using a centuries-old tradition dating back to the 1400s. Only two ingredients are used durum wheat semolina and fresh Italian eggs mixed, kneaded, and pressed through bronze dies to create the classic “chitarra” shape with its porous, sauce-gripping texture.
The pasta is rolled on pure cellulose sheets and slow-dried at low temperatures for 24–36 hours. This slow, artisan method ensures a tender, elastic consistency and a rich homemade flavor.
