Fresh Porcini Mushrooms
Fresh Porcini Mushrooms (Boletus edulis)
Fresh Porcini Mushrooms known in Italy as Porcini or “little pigs” are prized for their firm texture, earthy aroma, and naturally nutty, savory flavor. Harvested exclusively in the wild, porcini grow under oak, chestnut, pine, and spruce trees and are hand-picked during a short seasonal window, making them a true gourmet delicacy.
Perfect for risotto, pasta, sauces, soups, steaks, and vegetarian dishes, porcini turn wonderfully golden and aromatic when sautéed in butter with garlic and herbs. Their rich, meaty character elevates both simple and refined recipes.

Will buy again. Real porcini
very poor service - the mushrooms arrived and the ice pack had melted - the mushrooms were warm - and although i put them in the fridge - they became slimy and unedible - i took pictures of the mushrooms before i threw them out - and sent them to you - you credited half the sale - should have been the whole sale as we never got to enjoy them - the mushrooms should have been shipped with sufficient ice to preserve - unlikely to use your company again
Mushrooms was wonderful, but it’s so sad, Half of them was spoiled, but the rest was good, of course, not enough to enjoy it!
Fresh porcini are wonderful to make delicious pasta (pappardelle are perfect for this). Those are wild mushrooms available only seasonally for the Italians Alps or Appennini but available from Romania, Russia, etc. Alma is one f the few places where you can find them occasionally: they are of excellent quality and properly and timely shipped. I use about half the same day of arrival and freeze, after vacuum, the remaining.
Sadly they were inedible. The “ice pack” was hot. The plastic bag which held the brown paper bag of mushrooms had sweated completely the bad and all the mushrooms. They were soggy, brown and unfortunately not worth eating.
