Pitted Taggiasca Olives in Olive Oil 6.3oz
Taggiasca Olives are an ancient Ligurian variety of olives, whose distinctive flavor derives from the characteristics of the Liguarian territory where they are cultivated. Taggiasca Olives are small and plump, with a distinctive deep red color with variations of blond and violet. These olives have a rich yet mellow flavor, with a sweet and fruity accent, and have a firm texture.
These olives are preserved in brine, using a high quality mineral salt, and are then packaged in extra virgin olive oil.
How to use
Taggiasca Olives are equally delicious raw or cooked. Their fruity flavor pairs up nicely with seafood dishes, fresh salads, cheeses and rustic tomato pasta sauces, but they also make an excellent topping for pizza and a great addition to any aperitivo platter.
The Origin of Ranise
Ranise is an Italian farm located in Chiusanico, Liguria, specialized in the production and packaging of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) olive oil and speciality products from the local area. Ranise’s story begins in 1995 in Dolcedo, Liguria, to retrieve and cultivate the olive groves that had been planted by their ancestors. Ranise started with just a small workshop for packaging which then enabled them to move to the nearby “town” of Imperia and expand their production.
